About me

Optimist. Traveler. Guitar hack. Technology Nerd, Engineer. Nikon Aficionado.

(Ex-)hoops player, Husband, Dad of 4.

I’m currently working as a project manager for the FSRM in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. I have a teaching B.PEd from Acadia University (1991) and a Masters in Geomatics Engineering from the University of New Brunswick (2005).

My main job at the moment is project manager for the regional communications platform Micronarc – The dedicated Micro-nanotech Cluster of Western Switzerland. This keeps me quite busy, but I’m also responsible to for the IT in our office, including our web site and course registration system. I’ve also been known to give a few courses in web development and Photoshop. I’ve been creating web sites since about 1997.

For the most part, I am an Apple fan. I am not an Apple zealot/fanboy. Yes, there is a difference.

I admit that I love technology, but I am concerned about how fast things have developed in the last few decades in the IT sector – especially in respect to how humans cannot possibly keep up with the exposure to widespread information bombardment. Yes I’m talking about the internet, but I digress…

In another life I played quite a bit of basketball. I’ll try and write some more about hoops in the future…
