Sorry for the late response. I haven't really been following up on USB3.0, so I neglected to even cover it for this article. Update: It's now been a several months since this report and I'm still quite happy with this machine. The G5 has since died (motherboard, methinks), so the timing of the i7 purchase has been perfect. I have a G5 dual and have been contemplating an upgrade for Photoshop and Lightroom purposes. It has been very difficult to find the perspective you have provided.
